The Year of the Rabbit

The rabbit is seen as a cute furry creature, but not deemed to be of much use to the environment. However, form underground burrows that strengthen our soil health and they serve as a food source for many larger predators and thus are even a critical member of the eco system. They do multiply rapidly and then they can be a nuisance to farmers. They will harm the environment by their sheer numbers. Rabbits graze on native and introduced vegetation, crops and pastures. Rabbit grazing can prevent seedlings from regenerating and reduce crop yields, as well as increase competition for feed with livestock.

What can we learn from the rabbit? Do not multiply your possessions uninhibited even if they may be something simple or eco friendly as bags!
